Stars last rite - Purgatory

Upon sleeping one night, your Tokota finds itself within a dream-like purgatory of some kind, with surreal obstacles and challenges blocking it's path. Somehow, your Tokota must find his/her way to wakefulness by conquering the demons of their dreamworld, and finding their way to Aippaq's light.

• Optional: +10 for somehow including your Tokota's RoD companion in full body.
  
• Optional: +10 for correct setting. You can read more about the various areas of Tokotna here. (Purgatory wasn't listed haha, but I imagne it might be a hellhole of an old city or something like that? Anyway there are demons flying so let me know if it doesn't count!)
  
• Optional: +10 for including a handler.
  
• Optional: +10 for a short story of at least 500 words. For literature entries, this bonus will be awarded for at least 500 extra words.

Kaw, the raven

Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit there were hot flamey fiery red fire stuff everywhere! The smoke lay thick in the air and her lungs were far beyond the point of hurting, now she were gasping for breath. She couldn't quite decide if the fire was three blocks away or everywhere at the same time! Star could hardly stand still in fear and discomfort! It were too hot! Too hot for her thick barbary fur! She jumped at an swooping and booming and screeching kind of un-animal un-human sound. The sound were clearly not natural.

She were surrounded by tall tall things apparently called buildings. They looked so huge they could house whole packs of tokota and humans at the same time.

Star jumped again at the more natural, but also more angry, noises of Star’s friends beside her. Another creature had swooped down with it’s disgusting sound that made Star’s ears ring. Her friend, Myr, had finished it off with a swift hack to the creature's neck.


Myr’s dark gray old hatchets were at her side and she were taking a few test swings with them, all the while yowling and hissing and spitting out swearwords and threats of all kinds of kind. Their companion, a snow white raven sat rather bemused on top of Myr’s right shoulder, wincing and KAW!’ing and beating his heavy feathered white wings every time Myr decided to make bad gestures towards the sky. Despite his obvious lack of comfort at Myr’s shoulder, it didn’t look like he wanted to take to wings any time soon. In total, a whole number of three creatures had been slain by Myr, and two more by Star, the numbers in the sky however, had seemed to double.

Demons like no other were swarming the burning sky. They kind of looked like bear sized ravens or bats, if you oversee the fact that their chests were hollow and they had a long wiry tail that twisted and snapped when they moved and flew across the sky on long leathery wings. Star couldn’t count, but the amount of flying creatures in the sky were increasing rapidly by the minute, were steadily increasing to a bit of a huge number. Had Star brought all of her pack and her two closest friend packs, led by Whitefang and Hya, had they been here with their packs she would had felt like they had at least some chance at surviving. Not that their chances would have been great even then. Star tucked her tail between her legs, but then immediately rose it up so it faced the sky. This wasn’t something you could run from. She snarled and slammed another creature against the cobblestoned and crushed it’s skull hard under her weight. She spread her toes and felt her neck fur raise as she filled her lungs with thick smoky air, and let out a big rumble of a bark that echoed off of the tall buildings. She would not run, not yet. She had survived getting transformed into a mouse, she had survived days of tracking long distances on cold stinky cobblestoned in an unfamiliar place, and she would survive this.
